Today, Norwegian Storting take an initial decision to appoint a political commission to investigate the fire on the ferry Scandinavian Star.
It was the night to 7 April 1990, the ship was set on fire on its way from Oslo to Copenhagen and 159 people were killed, most Norwegians.
A majority in the Storting supports the Commission of the tank. The fire has been investigated several times but mostly from family groups have called for deeper investigations.
The offense barred in April. But the statute of limitations for arson is expected to be removed.
