The man who had been arrested for taking a boy from Romania to beg been released – “boy” was in fact a grown man
The man in his 40s who had been detained for a month on suspicion of human trafficking in Jönköping was released on the loose yesterday. Prosecutors Anders Brokelind says to P4 Jönköping, he decided to release and that he spends the case. But he would not currently comment on why.
The man was arrested Dec. 19 on suspicion of taking a boy to Sweden from Romania that he would beg. The boy was found outside a store in Hovslätt in Jönköping, where he sat and begged. Since he was judged to be 13 years, he was taken care of by social services.
But it has been shown that the indication of age is not true at all. The person who was begging outside the store instead is 32 years. It displays documents from Bulgaria and assessments from dentists and doctors in Sweden. That there are different 20 years at the actual aged compared to what was first thought commenting prosecutor Anders Brokelind this:
– It may sound odd but on reflection it is no wonder, assumes that he is suffering from some kind of syndrome, a hormone imbalance or something else.
