450 million will be invested in short waiting times and reduce regional disparities in cancer care in Sweden.
Most money goes to encouraging counties to introduce something called “standard care” process.
In practice this means that the care for a particular diagnosis conform to a standardized model – everyone makes the same manner throughout the country.
Yvonne Larsson has been treated for cancer and is in the patient organization Network Against Cancer Gotland. She says that the wait is important for those with cancer.
