Hagsätra in southern Stockholm cordoned the area off during the evening after a robbery against a pharmacy in the afternoon.
The robber, a man in his 20s, fled the scene but left behind a package that police bomb team was called in to investigate. Shortly after 21 o’clock lifted the cordon. Bomb Group had then taken possession of the object.
– We must be able to exclude it is harmless, therefore it has been taken to a safe place for the investigation of police techniques says Albin Birch bark Berg at the Stockholm police länskommunikationscentral.
An area of 100 meters around the pharmacy was evacuated and residents and shop staff in the area were evacuated to a church nearby.
It was at 17 o’clock as the man robbed the pharmacy by threatening staff with a pistol-like objects. It is unclear what he did with it.
The robber has not been arrested yet.
