Stockholm. There will be a regional election in Catalonia on 27 September. The announcement came after the big självständighetsivrande parties, the conservative CiU and the Left ERC agreed layup.
The choice applies formally to the Parliament of Catalonia, but the character of a disguised referendum on independence. The regional head of government Artur Mas (CiU) has been in negotiations with the ERC demanded that the two parties would go to the polls on the same list, but ERC leader Oriol Junqueras line met with positive response.
