S-defection in Nordmalingsfjärden after brawl

A large number of Socialists and Democrats in Nordmalingsfjärden leave the party. The background is an internal brawl where the council group ran over working the municipal elections of the political opposition.

Instead nominated group its own candidate, Monica Jonsson.

The issue has reached the party central, and there is an ongoing investigation if those who support Jonsson should be excluded.

They have announced that they think that me and another will leave all our missions in S, then we remain in the party. The alternative is exclusion, says Tomas Johansson, a member of the council Group, to Folkbladet in Västerbotten.

According to him, now leaves 30 Social Democrats Party, of which five belong to the council group. The five will, however, continue in office in the council, boards and committees, the newspaper said.
