Operated on the wrong eight out of nine times – Aftonbladet

Trollhättan. A doctor operated on nine patients with inguinal hernia and eight surgeries went wrong.

Now the doctor criticism of the Agency for Health Care (IVO) writes Bohusläningen online. He is considered to have demonstrated incompetence by using a surgical technique that he has not mastered.

The doctor was employed by an employment agency and worked in Västra Götaland winter of 2013-2014.

The patients were operated on using a method called TEP which is a form of keyhole surgery. It criticized the surgeon himself contacted medically responsible physician since the third patient come back with further trouble. Healthcare investigation showed that eight of the nine patients operated upon were not properly operated, but had left his hernia.
