Hazardous substance in “Superman Drew” – Aftonbladet

Hazardous substance in "Superman Drew" – Aftonbladet

Malmo. A tablet with a Superman logo has now been analyzed and found to contain high levels of the dangerous substance PMMA. Several people may have died after taking these ecstasy tablets in Sweden recently. There have also been reports of overdoses that can be linked to abuse of the tablets.

The tablet examined in the MPA laboratory was orange and pentagonal with a big “S” on both sides. It contained such large amounts of PMMA that it can provide greatly increased body temperature and, at worst, lead to death.

The MPA warns of consumption of tablets with similar appearance. PMMA is narcotic and therefore illegal to sell, buy and hold.

The analytical result is sent to the police and other authorities in Europe.
