Environmental testing of the military firing range has become protracted cases. The trial of 19 firing ranges have been appealed to the environmental and land court, and of them 17 are waiting on the government’s decision. The total processing time of these 17 cases, eight years, writes Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. Seven of the applications are from in 2005.
It is awfully long processing times, says Folke Borgh, a lawyer at the Swedish Armed Forces’ environmental assessment unit, told the newspaper.
