Female police officer was knocked out by 22-year-old – Expressen

Visitors to the Malmö Festival takes care of itself.

The exception was a 22 year-old man who knocked down a female police officer and broke her nose.

– But in general, there has been only 3-4 arrests of drunks, said police press officer Nils Norling.

The assault by police took place outside the restaurant Harry’s on South Street at 0:45 the night of Saturday. It must have been generally messy at the site when the 22-year-old man finally dealt the heavy blow against police.

– She was taken to hospital but was not seriously hurt otherwise beyond your nose, says Nils Norling.

The 22-year-old was arrested and served a suspicion of violence against the officer. He was released later in the night.

During the Malmö Festival, the police have a special commanding focusing on foot patrol in the festival area.

– We want to be visible to create security for visitors, says Nils Norling .
