One dead in accident with lawn mower – Aftonbladet

An elderly man was found unconscious in a riding mower outside Luleå.

He later died of his injuries, police said.

– We see it here as an illness, says Anders Calderäng the police.

A man in his 90s was injured at lunchtime in an accident with a riding mower, the city outside Luleå. He pinned beneath the mower and was found by relatives who alerted the emergency shortly after 12 noon on Wednesday.

The man was unconscious when he was found and his life could not be saved.

– He was dead when police and ambulance arrived at the scene, says Anders Calderäng, duty officer at the police in Norrbotten.

According to the police, it is likely that the incident was an accident.

– We have no suspicions of crime, but we regard this as a case of disease, says Calderäng.

Have been ill

It is unclear what caused the tragic accident.

– It is hard to say. A man is anträffad during a vickad Garden tractor. He has a known medical history so we suspect it has been behind that he has chosen, says Anders Calderäng.
