A two-year boy was taken to hospital after falling into a pool in Sjöbo.
The boy’s life could not be saved.
– He has died in hospital, said Jimmy Modin, press officer at the police in the South region.
The alarm was received at SOS Alarm at 20:21 on Saturday night.
The child had fallen into a pool in a garden. The rescue was the first place. When was the child out of the water but lifeless.
– When the emergency services arrived at the scene began CPR. Then the ambulance arrived and drove the child to the hospital in Lund, says Ola Nilsson, local production manager at SOS Alarm.
Shortly after 23:30, the police could tell that the child, a two-year boy, had died in hospital.
– He has died in hospital. We do not suspect any crime in connection with this, says Jimmy Modin, press officer at the police in the South region.
The boy’s relatives are informed.
