One area in badkiosken in Öjaby in Växjö was cordoned off on Tuesday afternoon after an object like a hand grenade found by a private individual. The suspected hand grenade turned out to be an alarm clock.
It was at half past one o’clock in the afternoon as an area of central Öjaby sealed off since the discovery of an object that could have been a hand grenade.
The police, who could not decide if it was a real grenade or not, took pictures of the object and send the photos to Bomb Technicians in Malmo. Nor could they determine the authenticity but went to Växjö to make an assessment.
But later contacted police of a 16-year-old, who reported the suspected hand grenade was his alarm clock.
