Suspected bomb outside the 36-year-old asylum accommodation – Aftonbladet

The man who confessed to the murders of Ikea lived in an asylum accommodation in Arboga.

Now, police found two suspects explosives at the accommodation. Friday night vacated accommodation.

– We have bomb technicians on their way to the scene, says Lennart Sjöstrand, duty officer at the police in Västmanland.

Police Bomb Technicians snatched late Friday night out to the 36-year-old murder suspect the man’s asylum accommodation in Arboga.

According to Aftonbladet information found suspicious object to the dog handler. This followed a tip to police that two explosives on Thursday had been placed in black bin bags sealed with duct tape.

The police confirmed that one has an effort at accommodation after finding a suspicious object. The situation is taken very seriously.

– We have bomb technicians on the road to the site. At present we do not know what it is but you can not ignore, says Lennart Sjöstrand, duty officer at the police in Västmanland.



About fifty meters from the accommodation

The suspicious object, which just a black plastic bag with silver tape to have found some 50 meters from the accommodation.

– Until we know what it’s something we will vacate the accommodation. Once we have the answers, we will also seek to check the other object, says Lennart Sjöstrand at Västmanland police.

At 1:15 arrived police bomb technicians to the area.

– We have cordoned off the area and allow our bomb technicians perform their work. At present it is difficult to say how long it might take, said Thomas Gustafsson, officers at the police control center.

At 1:30 pm, the police had found the other suspect object, also a silver taped black plastic bag, about 30 meters from the first find.

The municipality and the Swedish Migration Board assisted the police in place.

– We’re about and vacate the accommodation now. Our staff is on the way to solve an overnight accommodation for the residents and the police bomb technicians are also on their way to the scene, said the Migration Board’s press communicator Helena Cho Györki.



Unrest Thursday

On Thursday there was unrest outside the asylum accommodation when dozens of demonstrators, writes Swedish Radio, SR.

– They brought placards, shouted through a megaphone and threw eggs. They were angry and shouted that we are not welcome in Sweden anymore, says Mike, one of the residents to SR.

According to the local newspaper Bärgslagsbladet kept demonstrators banners linked to a right-wing youth organization. It is currently unknown whether there is any connection between the demonstration and the found object.



Recognized double homicide

The 36-year-old, who was expelled from Sweden, left the accommodation Monday for a meeting at the Swedish Migration Board in Vasteras. Then he took to Ikea in Västerås where he is suspected of having the knife murdered a 55 year old woman and her 27-year-old son.

On Thursday he pleaded guilty to the murders. The man’s motives are not yet known.



Past suspected protected secret location

The 23-year-old man arrested outside the store and was previously on suspicion of murder and accessory to murder was released after 36-year-old recognition. The men were acquaintances and both lived in the asylum accommodation in Arboga. Because of the threat offered 23-year-old police protection at a secret location.

The 36-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder in two cases.
