A motorcycle driver was killed and four seriously injured in a traffic accident on County Road 202 last night.
The accident took place in connection with overtaking just before six o’clock outside Mariestad, on county road 202 towards Töreboda, at the height of Ramslåttern.
– There is a man in his 60s who died of his injuries, says Christer Fuxborg, spokesperson, Police in Västra Götaland.
The accident occurred when a car in front would make a left turn. One of the motorcycle riders are forced to do heavy braking and crashed, the other motorcycles collide with the motorcycle.
The other four people are still seriously injured, according to police.
The motorcyclists were heading to a biker gathering in Töreboda region.
The police have taken all vehicles , three motorcycles and one car, seized to make a technical examination.
The rescue services have been in place and the road was closed off during the evening.
The traffic was redirected to some degree and four people traveling on three motorcycles are seriously injured.
