Spring floods in the north – summer in the south – Västerbotten Courier

Domestic Summer in the south and melting snow in the north. In Norrbotten warned SMHI for high flows in some small and medium rivers.

– It can cause flooding problems in exposed places. Real estate may be in danger and roads may be affected, says Sandra Andersson at SMHI.

Class two warnings are issued for the Norrbotten County inland and coastal. For Västerbotten and Jämtland and Dalarna mountains regards class a warning, the lower level. While there is a risk of grass fire in dry places, even in snowmelt counties.

In the country’s southern half are good opportunities for weekend leave to spend the day outdoors under a bright sun and pleasant summer temperatures. In both Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm expected temperatures land at 20 degrees at noon.

In the northern half of the country, it will be slightly cooler: 16 degrees in Ostersund, 14 in Umeå, 13 in Lulea and eight degrees an overcast Kiruna at midday.

– in the far north have already received some colder air. It will not be cold but a little more normal temperatures, says Sandra Andersson.

In the beginning of next week expected water flows in the north is slowing while summer weather in the south continues for another few days.
