Crisis meeting on the suspected sabotage against telecommunications masts – Sveriges Radio

Only yesterday detected a new suspected sabotage of a communications mast in Stenstorp in Falköping.

– I personally think it feels really insecure. I do not like it. One does not know if it’s a coincidence that it is in three different places. It does not feel good, says Patrick Nohlgren as Environment Manager in Falkirk.

Yesterday was discovered to a telecommunications mast located on a water tower in Stenstorp had overturned and hung out over the railing. According to Environment manager, it is difficult to see that there would be no natural cause. He believes that concerns about it, the greater given the other events in the week and that has led to disruptions in communications in different ways.

Earlier this week sabotaged a telecommunications mast outside Borås, and one cable at a mast in Tranemo were cut off.

Meanwhile, joined rescue services in Falkirk out with the information that the mast problems in Stenstorp not sabotage. Mist anchors are now written off, according to the Daily News.

The provincial government in West Bengal can see now that there is a great need for information in the municipalities. Therefore, they have today invited all municipalities in the region to a collaboration session. The meeting’s Security Police (SAPO) Authority for Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and SOS Alarm invited to inform about the situation.

– Right now there is an uncertainty about what has occurred. We need to avoid speculation. Therefore we want to give the regional authorities and municipalities the opportunity to listen to this with those actors involved, says Patrik Jansson, who is an official of the readiness of the local authorities.

– I dare not pronounce myself on what these events have in common. But it is serious when it occurs in critical infrastructure. These features are important for society to function. It is clear that it is serious.
