A policeman was injured when a gang of youths threw stones at police in central Gislaved night, writes local media.
The police were alerted to the scene shortly after at 03, when several people fired on cars in the area. Once there, attacked the policemen of stone throwing so many patrols pulled out to the site.
A man in his 20s was arrested after a hudpatrull managed to track him. He now suspected of vandalism, rioting and assaulting a police officer.
Exactly how many people participated in stoning the police is unclear.
– It was messy on site and difficult to estimate, but the case of a two-digit number, says Anneli Jonsson-Hammo, duty officer at P4 Jönköping.
According to her, none of the police officers have had to seek emergency care.
