In a year, two new baby elephants see the light of day in Borås Zoo. Two of the females are namely pregnant at the same time, something that has not happened before in the zoo’s history, reports the P4 Sjuhärad.
– We have Dudu who is pregnant, the same applies to her daughter Panzi. Moreover, it is the male Yoga which is the father of both calves, says zoologist Daniel Roth to the channel.
In addition to family relationships becomes something odd inside of the elephants, the births will also lead to make it a little cramped. Therefore, the zoo asked Boras politicians to build out the exercise yard.
– The current level is about 500 square meters, but we would need a space of about 500, says Daniel Roth.
