– We have, unfortunately, a new glitch. This is about the road map management system that describes the plan to be traveling in the airspace, route, departure airport is not working as it should. Because of the error, we must do a manual operation, said Per Froberg, at LFV’s press office.

The roadmap information is handled digitally and left between airlines and air traffic control prior to each flight.

– We put on five minutes each starting from Arlanda. Unfortunately, the few minutes we have had to put built on delays, but we hope the impact will be less during the evening as the traffic becomes more sparse, said.

According to the CAA, the problems have led to up to one and a half-hour delays for some flights. For SAS it is about more than 20 flights from the airport and 20 back to have suffered, says Cathrine Myhren, at the SAS press office.

– We have huge delays at the airport, SAS extent it on 15 minutes to an hour. We work hard to inform our passengers and help to get those travelers who are next in line. But if flights delayed out that often makes the consequence that they will be late back again.
