No charges against Wallström – Västerbotten Courier

Domestic The preliminary investigation into suspected bribery relating to Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom’s home closed down, state the prosecutor said.

In a written comment to TT said Margot Wallström: “I have received news that the preliminary investigation closed. It is good that this has been investigated. Now I look forward to focusing fully on my work. “

– In conclusion, I have not been able to find that there is a so-called service context, that is a benefit in the form of a lease that has been made in view of the government’s behalf, says Alf Johansson, chief prosecutor of the national Anti-corruption unit.

Johansson, however, are not in on the relationship that exists. It is not interesting for the prosecution.

– We have held some 25 hearings and examined the documentation, he said.

Wallström has not been questioned.

MWU former treasurer Anders Bergstrom was previously suspected of bribery, but the suspicion is now written. No longer is suspected of any crime in this context, according to Johansson. He would not go into whether any more have been suspect in the investigation.

On 15 January Wallström told that she had a rented apartment in Munich during his time as Foreign Minister. According to the Institute for bribes would be the home of an undue advantage and thereby a bribery ..
