Five young people managed to get all the way across the Oresund Bridge one night in May. They were discovered on Swedish soil and handed over to the Immigration Service.

So far this year 55 people förökt to get through the tunnel says Sanna Holmqvist, Head of Communications at the Öresund Bridge Consortium for News Sound.
Öresundsbrokonsortiet has set up thermal sensors to detect if someone enters the tunnel at Kastrup.
– We are very concerned about this. We’re about to see it as something we can improve in terms of lighting or övervakninge, says Sanna Holmqvist.
It was the heat sensors that alerted the night until 12 May when the five youths, all under eighteen, broke through the tunnel and over the bridge.

It was discovered they and handed over to the Swedish Migration Board to seek asylum.
– it was the first case where you have come all the way through, says Dr Gunn Westford, communications officer at the police south region, the News Øresund.
On Öresundsbrokonsortiet is communications manager Sanna Holmqvist concerned about the development.
– the worst of this is the concern, there are people who risk their lives. It happens several times a week now, it has increased now that summer begins, she said.
