Now Löfven it more difficult on the job – Aftonbladet

Peter Eriksson government gets Prime Minister Stefan Löfven it more difficult.

The former spokesman will not act doormat for the Social Democrats. He will require green wins.

57 years old crowns Peter Eriksson (MP) the political career with a Cabinet post. he has fought for almost ten years.

he has a solid political career as mayor, spokesperson, MP and now the latest member of the European Parliament since the election two years ago.

Many of the Green Party considers that Eriksson is excluded as Cabinet ministers. He has not really followed the rotation principle which the Greens think is so important, that you do not professionalised as those in power without going in and out of politics.

Even so, most factors that Eriksson will give the Green Party more stability and greater weight in the government. Not only through its long experience in negotiating with the Social Democrats – during his time as a spokesperson budget he negotiated with the then S-government more times per year. But also for his purely personal characteristics. Peter Eriksson described as stubborn as sin and calls himself “awkward”.

This means that Stefan Löfven is a tougher future. Eriksson will not accept that the Green Party is so foiled the government work they have been compelled to do. Clear Green wins will be required.

It was otherwise a well-balanced compote served as the Prime Minister when he presented his government reshuffle. Another cabinet ministers left the government, future Minister Kristina Persson, and thus there was room to bring in three new ones.

They are, in addition to Eriksson, Malmö praised Councillor Carolina Forest (MP) who becomes minister of the Swedish environment and Ann Linde (S) which will take place at the Foreign Ministry with responsibility for EU trade.

for the public, Linde is unknown, but for all who engage in politics in a way or another, she’s a superstar. She has worked with foreign and European affairs almost his entire professional life and a passion for European cooperation. She is also smart, verbal and stands for what she says. A bargain, you might say.

EU Minister resurrected, then Löfven abolished the post in 2014, is sobering. The EU is very, very important for Sweden as a small export-dependent country in the northernmost part of Europe. That it includes a cabinet minister in the government of the duties should be obvious for maximizing influence.

It also speaks to Löfvens advantage that he understood that the Government’s work must be coordinated more closely today when sometimes can get the idea that the country is governed by several governments with different goals and direction. Therefore, Ibrahim Baylan Coordination Minister at the Prime Minister while retaining the job as Energy Secretary.

A rather strange mix, you have to say. The first task is important for the image of the government, the other for Sweden’s future.

But if Ibrahim Baylan succeed in his new role will the government say the least, unclear communication tightened. It will feel very well off.

Also, other changes, such as labor and establishment minister Ylva Johansson clearly the responsibility, even in the title of the new arrivals in Sweden shows that Stefan Löfven understood the shortcomings government has suffered of.

Better late than never.
