The police were alerted last night to Billesholm in Bjuv, outside Helsingborg, after the person had heard a greater bang. Something had then detonated next to a car in a congested area.
At present there is no connection with the earlier explosions.
Nils Norling’s press officer at Skåne police.
– We receive a call shortly after four o’clock in the morning from a person who has heard a greater bang. We will send patrols there and they can quickly localize to see signs that something has detonated. You see damage to a car and damage to windows of a neighboring house, he said.
No threat in the area, but police are taking seriously the explosion.
– There are obviously serious enough to detonate anything in an urban area, says Nils Norling.
It is still unclear what it is that has been detonated. Police have had technicians and a bomb team in place and have secured some tracks.
– The tracks will now be sent away for analysis, and it is for this analysis we can say for sure what it is that has detonated says Nils Norling.
The police are anxious to get into any sightings of vehicles and people moving in Billesholm, both before and after the event.
No one should have been injured in the explosion. Police have set up a notification of devastation endangering the public.
