Promise to pay criticised the cost of a taxi with their own money
SSU’s president Philip Botström, 26, are now breaking the silence on the much-criticised taxi ride for 8 000 sek.
He would reach in time for the social Democrats ‘ executive committee-the morning after – but was absent from the meeting.
Now he explains why.

Why Philip Botström still not participated in the meeting, ” he explains now.

It is something that I haven’t talked about, but the reason that I have not participated is that I some time ago have had both stress and utmattningssymtom, which made me certain mornings not to have come up out of the bed. According to Philip Botström he gets the help of a doctor since last fall. He has, however, kept their problems secret for most, which, he argues, that today he is ashamed of.
– It has been shameful and I am ashamed that I have not wanted to talk about it despite the fact that I and my youth often talk about the social problems as stress, exhaustion, and mental problems means. It has been difficult to talk about, from a private perspective.
he explains that he was afraid of the reactions and to be seen as weak, because he believes that society still has a negative image of people who grapple with psychological problems.
"Pay back"

Botström also says that he does not intend to take a time-out or leave his post but that he is planning to be completely healthy. He is elected as president of SSU’s congress in August and has no plans to leave early.
– I will put all the energy to be completely healthy and intend to remain, I get the support and help and hope and believe I will be healed, but it will take some time. I understand that I need to plan and focus my performances and activities better, but also to be able to talk about it right now, I suffer, ” he says.
Many members have responded to Philip Botströms taxi ride and he is therefore keen to give his version of the incident. He has not yet had time to speak with prime minister Stefan Löfven (S) about their situation, but intend to do so in the future.
