– Yes, I have decided to review this prosecutor’s handling of this matter. I have followed the echo reporting on this and listened to some victims point of view that allows me in light of what the prosecutor was to be sentenced for’ll look at this, says deputy chief prosecutor Bengt Åsbäck which has taken the decision.

the former prosecutor was convicted last fall of including hacking, sexual assault and child rape. He has committed crimes for six years, and during that time he has held several sensitive cases at the Public Prosecution Office. Echo has previously said that he was the investigator in the case of Hudik folder when nude pictures of almost 30 teenage girls went online. And it is thus the case will now be examined.

The sexual offenders man’s former boss, chief prosecutor Patrick Säflund, has previously said he did not feel the need for a review of the prosecutor’s work.

– I have determined that there was no reason for it.

Autumn 2014 , the man was also a prosecutor during a trial when a guy in Hudiksvall was charged with sexual abuse of children after having had sex with a 14 year old girl. A week later, the prosecutor himself six with just a 14-year-old girl in Hudiksvall.

Gävle’s chief prosecutor, Patrick Säflund, still think the sex offenders man was a good prosecutor. He says that one should distinguish between what he did in his private life and what he did in the service.

– In addition to hacking, it’s not crime he did in the service, but there are crimes he has free time.

But it is a strange way to reason, think Ingrid Helmius, doctor of public law at Uppsala University. She thinks that might call into question the objectivity of a prosecutor who himself committing crimes.

– I think it is a remarkable attitude that so easily able to decide that there is no problem. I find it hard to understand how he comes to it, actually.

– You want the boss does not believe that even the employees are doing these kinds of terrible atrocities as it is so easy to time do not perceive indications would indicate anything.
