Five year old was drowning – police suspect criminal – Aftonbladet

A five year old boy hospitalized after having been submerged in the bath Far heights in Gävle.

The police are investigating the incident as creating danger to another.

– We suspect that someone left the boy without supervision an aficionado reasonably should have, says duty officer Johan Fredriksson.

Police and ambulance were alerted to the bathhouse at 17:34 on Sunday after the alarm about drowning incident. On site stated then that a five year old boy had picked up from the water and that it was going cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

– lifeguards discovered the boy in the pool bottom, and it was they who began CPR, says Johan Fredriksson, duty officer at Gävle police.

the boy is taken to hospital. At 20 o’clock states Gävleborg county that the boy is slightly damaged but is available for further care.

Mats Ivarsson, head of unit at the bathhouse, says the DG that the boy was found in a pool called “adult oasis”.

– There were two lifeguards who saw that the boy was under water. One of them threw themselves in the bridge where they were to keep watch. The other lifeguard ran the other way to quickly arrive, says Ivarsson to the newspaper.

Police in Gavle has launched a criminal investigation is classed as creating danger to another because they suspect weaknesses in the supervision of the child.

– at present we do not know the boy was there with, or how it happened, but it is under investigation, said Johan Fredriksson.

– We suspect that someone left the boy without the supervision that an aficionado reasonably should have.

At present there are no suspects, police said.

The boy should have been there with a parent.
