The power is back in the Eslövsområdet – Sveriges Radio

From the beginning was 14000 customers affected by the outage that was due to it been a short circuit in a substation.

“The preliminary view is that it among other things is the cold weather that caused a wire snapped and fell over the exposed conductive parts in the switchgear, and then kortslöts the whole of the switchgear,” says Melinda Frigyesi Almström, communications manager at the energy company Kraftringen.

In Eslöv, customers began to get really cold also in its properties, as district heating does not work without power.

When the tide went three o’clock in the night, was also biokraftvärmeverket in Örtofta without electricity, and was therefore forced to shut down production. But where did the electricity is back and the production of district heat went up and running. But since it requires electricity in the customers ‘ own properties to transport around the district heating, not served by district heating with them.

and with that the power came back, so could the internal systems, which properties have to distribute and circulate the heat also go running, ” says Melinda Frigyesi Almström.
