A top politician in Jämtland prosecuted for unlawful persecution announced that she is leaving all political positions.
An elected politicians in Jämtland County has been indicted and is suspected of illegal persecution. During the period from November 2014 to March 2015 then the female toppolitikern according to the indictment have sent several letters to the same woman, where she expressed threateningly. It writes Östersundsposten.
Now select the politician to leave the political trust that she has. In an email she writes like this about the decision she made on Thursday:
– I have today decided to leave all the political positions with immediate effect. I have informed my respective team leaders about this, and that I felt it to be the best in this situation.
The e-mail says the politician also how she sees her future in politics.
– I have devoted much of my life to get involved in my political matters of the heart, and I hope that in the future be able to do it again. But now I have to concentrate on sorting out this situation, and then this is the right decision.
The charge applies to both assault and molestation. The accused has admitted assault but denies unlawful persecution. In the email she writes:
– As I said earlier, I am deeply remorseful and willing to face the consequences of what I did in a time of crisis in my life. This is one of the consequences.
