Malmo want to see more men in preschool – Västerbotten Courier

Malmo is aiming to get more men to become a preschool teacher. The municipality is eight percent of preschool teachers are men, which is more than double that of Sweden as a whole, where the figure is three percent, reports the Echo.

Challenges that municipality encountered is a reluctance to work on a female-dominated workplace, and the suspicion that sometimes directed towards men in preschool.

Malmo want to see that ten percent of the employees are male preschool teachers in four years.
