Kolmarden premiere of the new roller coaster Wildfire is set on the day of the premiere.
The reason is a manufacturing defect.
– It is incredibly bad timing, says Christer Fogelmarck, CEO of Parks and Resorts Group, where Kolmarden included.

“No fault on our trains”

– We have inspected them and tested them throughout the week. Every morning we check in addition, all trains and parts and also various types of weekly checks.
What’s the worst that could happen?
– it is impossible to say when we have not found any fault on the trains. Now we follow the instructions and replace cylinders for double security so that every part of every train to work, tip top.
According Fogelmarck it takes about 3-5 days before the track opens. In the worst case, it may take one week.
– We know what should be done and the job itself does not take so long, but the cylinders to be shipped here from the US, which could take some time.

Kolmarden is the premiere marketed Wildfire as the fastest and second tallest roller coaster in the wood throughout Europe. The track is 1300 meters long, takes 120 seconds to go, and is built in the Swedish wood.
