KD-criticism that Ebba Busch Thor participate in Pride – Sveriges Radio

– I think it is inappropriate. Pride and Pride train is a protest, tied to RFSL, and it stands for a different agenda than the Christian Democrats basically programs do, says MP Tuve Skånberg.

Ebba Busch Thor recently told that she will participate in the Pride parade on July 30th. She becomes the first KD-leader who marches in the parade. How she told Aftonbladet TV Channel.

– I do it just to stand up for freedom, for equality of all people, and for everyone to see that there is an opportunity to build a good life here.

KD-leader had not pre told the parliamentary group and the party of its position, but it came as a surprise. Several leading representatives echo has been in contact with are critical to not she anchored the decision – which is thus not without controversy among Christian Democrats.

She says that she takes part to demonstrate for equal rights for everybody. How do you see it?

– You have to properly highlight how important it is not to homosexuals harassed or discriminated against. And I do, and that makes all the Christian Democrats. But there are other and better way than to go in a politically colored trains Pride train.

But there are also Christian Democrats welcome the party leader’s decision to join the Pride train. One of them is Emma Henriksson, second vice president.
