KOLMÅRDEN When visitors came to Kolmarden this morning as they were met by the sign “Wildfire closed”. The premiere of the park’s big bet on the träbyggda rollercoaster Wildfire thus have pushed a number of days in the future.
– We got the news last night from our suppliers, says Christer Fogelmarck who is president of Park and Resorts which owns Kolmårdsparken.

According Fogelmarck there is a risk of manufacturing of the cylinders in each wagon in the ride. 48 cylinders to each carriage will now be flown in from the US and then assembled on site in Melbourne.
– We set course safety first and took quick decision to stop the premiere. Sure, we have met a number of disappointed customers this morning. But there is also a widespread understanding that we do not start something that is not one hundred percent accurate, says Christer Fogelmarck to Folkbladet.
