– You have found a drifting boat with fishing gear out there, so we are currently looking for an unknown number of people who may have been on board, says Christer Ekeroth on air and sea rescue center said.
– We has made a rough search by helicopter, but should initiate a more systematic search from the surface and the air.
It was a private person who blew the whistle on the boat, which was found drifting north of the island Åstol between Tjörn and Marstrand. No person was then on board, however, were fishing gear on the boat and fishing lines hanging in the water.
