Only one of the five MP voters have confidence spokesperson Åsa Romson.
The numbers surprise, according to opinion analyst.
– It is very rare to have so little confidence among their own, says Karin Nelsson at Inizio.
the Green Party’s own voters have little confidence in the party’s mouthpiece. It shows a survey by Aftonbladet / Inizio, which asked 404 voters. Only one in five MP-voters say they are somewhat or very great confidence Åsa Romson.
Gustav Fridolin has greater support, but only four out of ten say they have great or very great confidence in him.
– it is remarkable because it is very low figures ecologist engines provide their own spokesperson, says Karin Nelsson, public opinion analyst for Aftonbladet / Inizio.
When some time ago asked the same question to Social Democrats Stefan Löfven he received 85 percent support.
Lövin internal favorite
for the weekend, the Green Party congress in Karlstad and Gustav Fridolin and Åsa Romson has chosen to resign. Both have announced that they are keen to lead the party if they get support in Congress.
According to the survey from Inizio think a majority, 59 percent, Åsa Romson should resign. 44 percent think that the Minister Isabella Lövin to replace Romson. 14 percent think that the Minister of Culture Alice Bah Kunke to take over her post.
– A clear majority wants her to resign. Åsa Romson has long had lower confidence, now that it is urgent for the Green Party, she has not much to take off, says Karin Nelsson.
Fridolins confidence drops
Over half of the respondents, 54 percent, think that Gustav Fridolin will continue to lead the party. Every fourth MP voters think, however, that he should leave and be replaced by Finance Minister Per Bolund or parliamentarian Carl Schlyter. But 40 percent are unsure who would be a suitable successor to Fridolin.
– He has previously experienced relatively high confidence, but it has started to drip in the spring, says Nelsson.
the survey shows that many of the respondents are critical of their party.
“Asa Romson seems to be very good expert on environmental issues, but is not either good leader or speaker,” writes one of the respondents.
But at the same time, nine out of ten respondents said they will vote for the Green Party in the next election. SEE ALSO TV: “This crisis might be necessary”
“Been turbulent weeks”
Neither Fridolin or Romson want to comment on the results of the investigation.
– It has been a turbulent few weeks for the Green Party. It has also had an impact on these figures, said party secretary Anders Wallner said in a statement through his press secretary.
What does it say here for the weekend’s congress?
– I hope that Congress will be a fresh start for the party when we once again have the opportunity to talk about the major policy issues that we put our time to influence which the climate challenge and the right of children to a good school.
Does Fridolin and Romson stick to the decision that they want to continue to lead the party if they get confidence?
– Asa and Gustav have asked the Election Committee to prepare the best possible proposal to the mouthpiece and then it’s Congress that determines the party’s leadership ahead of elections in 2018. both have been clear that they want to continue to lead the Green Party, says Anders Wallner.
