Moderates want employers to give promise of jobs – Sveriges Radio

The proposal is part of the Moderates vårmotion, and the party’s labor market policy spokeswoman Elisabeth Svantesson says that the goal is to put down the current labor market training.

– Today’s labor market training, we want to phase out and introduce vocational training with a sharp jobs promise.

in a first step want the Conservatives to move SEK 500 million from the current labor market training for a new professional training at the Employment Service.

This proposal is made in the party’s shadow budget. Vocational training should be a maximum of twelve months, instead of the current six. The money is enough for up to 6000 points from 2017.

The link between training and the Conservatives call a sharp job promise is the point.

– We believe it should be a job promise on the other side, and that employers should promise it. Today, almost all going training straight into unemployment and we can not continue to have it. Employers need to be involved much earlier and also give promise of work, says Elisabeth Svantesson.

But to promise a job to someone in advance is not possible, according to Anna-Lena Bohm, entrepreneurs and vice president of the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.

– Promise a specific jobs to specific people before a training has been carried out will never work, she says.

the Moderates also makes a reversal in terms of vocational programs in high school. All courses will automatically grant access to higher education.

– We have noticed that you would like to have this privilege, and then it is reasonable that we reinstate it, says Elisabeth Svantesson.
