Aspöfärjan collided with HMS Carlskrona – Sveriges Radio

The clash occurred at half past ten and the way many of Stumholmen and basked when it occurred. One of them was Ola Karlsson from Karlskrona.

– They came on high speed towards each other, but we thought they had an eye, he says.

But that was not the case, for then they ran into each other and there was a big crash.

Two people aboard Aspöfärjan injured in the accident. According to the fire chief Richard Thorn got a person neck injuries and a shock was difficult. The injured were first taken care of the sick battlements at Aspo and then transferred to Aspöfärjan back to Karlskrona, where an ambulance was waiting.

The clash caused a tear in the stern of HMS Carlskrona but the ferry was able to continue to Aspö to drop off people.

It is unclear what is behind the accident. Lars Salmi says Transport Agency to investigate what really happened.

Lars Salmi also says skipper Aspöfärjan will be taken out of service, which Trafikverket often do after accidents.
