Prosecutors have requested a further three men suspected of involvement in the rape aboard a ferry in the middle of last week.
According to a press release from the Public Prosecutor’s Office they now suspect the men of the same ages as those previously detained.
the crime of two of the new suspects are aggravated rape and the third is in custody on suspicion of complicity in rape.

The other two suspects should be heard together with their backs during the day today. Thereafter, a decision on possible further detention of them will be taken, “said prosecutor Kristin Moren and Angelica Runesson according to the press release.
Prosecution would at present not comment further arrests.
Two 19-year-old were arrested at the weekend on probable cause suspected of rape on the ferry Silja Galaxy. Both deny the charges.
The suspected rape should have taken place on a student cruise with 18-year limit where about 1700 students from Southern and Central Sweden participated.
