Female death row house fire – Göteborgs-Posten

A woman in her 60s has died after a massive fire in Vittaryd.
 Police investigating the fire as suspicious arson.

After a severe fire developing in a terraced house in Vittaryd, between Värnamo and Ljungby, a woman in her 60s died, Smålänningen report.

Several apartments will have rökskadats in the fire that occurred around 21 pm on Saturday night. The area was sealed off immediately out of the police to rescue would be able to focus on fighting the fully developed fire. Of fire was so great that some 20 firefighters were involved in extinguishing the fire. Strengths Ljungby, Älmhult, Värnamo, Bor and Rydaholm was in place, reports Smålänningen.

– There are four apartments affected and attached garage. The apartments are completely damaged and is completely burned, said the rescue team leader Niklas Öberg Smålänningen.

emergency services got the fire under control at 23 o’clock on Saturday night but fighting continued for several hours. First, at 2:30 pm the night of Monday, could the various rescue forces leave the place except Ljungby who had coverage in the area also on Sunday. The cause of the fire is not yet known but it is being investigated as an arson.

A woman was taken to Ljungby Hospital for injuries and was confirmed dead on Sunday afternoon.
