Four of ten Swedes believe that Sweden should participate if there is an international military action against the Islamic state. Meanwhile, confidence in the defense forces higher than the more than ten years.
Questions regarding defense are included in the annual survey of a statistical sample of the population that are made of SOM Institute at Gothenburg University.
a new question in the latest survey was whether Sweden should participate in any international military action against the Islamic state. 40 percent said yes, while 23 percent said no. Support was highest among people with party preference for the Conservatives or the Sweden Democrats.
The year before there was a question of Swedish involvement in a military operation in Syria, without any particular enemy was identified. They said 62 percent no.
