Farmer loses 135 mismanaged cows – Sydsvenskan

The case has prompted multiple inspections, when something has cows had more flesh and some of the remaining gaps in the yard had improved.

– To a case can take this long is because the cows go out to pasture during much of the year and then they have eaten, says Juha Toropainen.

But at the last inspection cows were in such poor condition that the provincial government decided on a disposal.

– When our animal inspectors arrived at the site of a follow-up inspection was many animals very skinny and dirty and the environment laden with feces. It was clear that the cows do not get enough food, says Juha Toropainen.

The farmer was not in place and went first not to reach.

the County Administrative Board staff called on a clinical veterinarian who were investigating the crew. It was after that the County Administrative Board Skåne took the decision on the disposal.

– We make the decision, then it’s the police’s job to enforce it.

In this case, the animals will be fed and cleaned the stables. When the cows and calves feel better they will be sold.

– The former pet owner may not have the care of the animals, says Juha Toropainen.

The very rarely Skåne County Administrative Board disposes of cattle. 90 percent of the approximately one hundred arrests of animals the pet.
