Kaplan, fascists asked to go to hell! – Aftonbladet

The Minister spits on Turks who oppose fascism and Islamism, writes commentator

DEBATE. Housing Minister Mehmet Kaplan was interviewed recently in SVT’s news. He was asked why he attended the same conferences as the Turkish nationalist Milli Görüs (known for everything from anti-Semitism to radical Islam). He said that he must tolerate them because they are part of “the Turkish civil society in Sweden”.

It is revealing.

Above all, it shows that Kaplan is not a consistent one. He advocates zero tolerance against the Sweden Democrats and the Muslim hatred, but not against radical Islam and Turkish nationalism.

Do not misunderstand me. Kaplan’s commitment to SD and against Islamophobia is one of his strengths. It’s just that with the consistency he did not seem to understand completely.

I have long been critical of how the debate against Kaplan completed in Sweden. The debate against him have not been characterized by a desire to obtain facts, but more of semi-racist statements. Like when Rebecca Weidmo Uvell and Avpixlat made a big deal of Kaplan visited relatives during a business trip to Turkey or when IT Minister visited IT fair (!).

To initially it seemed the latest scandal to be the same. Kaplan then had been sitting at a dinner where even the fascists in the Grey Wolves participated. He sat a few tables away from them. It has taken many of the “evidence” that the minister participated in a fascist meeting. But there is no evidence. You can not just lump together two that are the same dinner by “guilt by association”.

But there are real questions about Kaplan’s actions. For example, how he could defend the obvious racists and proponents of terror as he sat in the organization Charta2008. And why has he always ended up in unsuitable company. He attended the same conferences as Milli Görüs has been known for quite some time.

But it begins to change. Now it begins to appear really substantial things in Kaplan debate. As SVT interview:

“SVT News can now reveal that Mehmet Kaplan met with representatives of Milli Görüs on several previous occasions … Is it appropriate to move in these circles ?

“- this is a part of Turkish civil society. as long as organizations are not violent in any way, it is something I will have to consider each time, says Mehmet Kaplan.

What sends this for signals?

– the Turkish civil society exists and is a reality in Sweden. this does not mean I agree with them to the letter. “

Thus we have the situation that Kaplan spit on the Turks who are trying to fight fascism and Islamism. Not all Turks are fond of the Minister gives legitimacy to the Grey wolves and the Milli Görüs.

the fact that we have a problem should be fairly obvious. Barbaros Leylanis speech last weekend to kill Armenians were appalling. But even more frightening was that the audience cheered and cheered the speech. And the fascist Grey Wolves participated in the meeting. Even the infamous dinner Kaplan participated in the show. That the established Turkish entrepreneurs Association, at whose dinner Kaplan participated, invited both Milli Görüs, Leylani and the even more extreme Grey Wolves also shows how bad things are.

So how should Kaplan done? Yes, you can meet this “civil society”, but to scold them for their compromise with fascism and Islamism. You can meet them but, to take the debate to hatred. It does not participate in meetings with movements like these and lend legitimacy to this alleged “civil society”, anyway.

If what Kaplan calls “Turkish civil society” like fascists, it is time to ask this supposed “Turkish civil society” go to hell!
