A man of 25-30 years old has died in a drowning accident in a limestone quarry near Siggeboda in Örebro County.
– He is confirmed dead. He was there and went swimming with some friends and did not manage a simsträcka, says Kenneth Johannesson, duty officer at the police in Örebro, said.
Emergency services were called to the scene at five o’clock on Saturday afternoon. Just over an hour later found the man at around six meters deep, reports SVT News Orebro.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed but his life could not be saved.
