An empty sailing boat with sails set drifted ashore outside Ystad on Sunday.

A major rescue operation is now underway.

The Maritime Administration has been on board the boat, but there are no people there.

– We do not know the person or persons who were on board, says Daniel Lindblad.

What has occurred is unclear. Above all, people are looking for people in the water at an area near Kåseberga, east of Ystad.
