Gothenburg A dead man has been encountered in the water at Näsets bathing in Gothenburg.
Who the man is and how long the body has been in the water is not yet determined.
- We must look through the person’s dress and see if there might be a form of ID that can identify him, said police spokesman Stefan Gustafsson.
Just before ten o’clock on Wednesday morning, police received an alarm that a dead man had been found in the sea at Näsets bathing in Gothenburg.
At present, the police suspect no crime behind the death, and work has now been launched to find out who the dead man is.
– We must look through the person’s dress and see if there might be a form of ID that can identify him. We may also compare him with missing persons, says Stefan Gustafsson.
The dead man will also be examined by a forensic pathologist.
– It will be done to the cause of death to be backed determined and it is a process that takes time, says Stefan Gustafsson.
If the body is believed to have been in the water for a long time like police spokesman currently not responding to ethical reasons.
Gustafsson was at 11 o’clock on Wednesday also no indication about who who found the dead man at the swimming and alerted emergency.

– The body is salvaged, and the identification process is ongoing, said the commander at the police control center in Gothenburg, Magnus Nordqvist.
He says that the police have cordoned off one area or initiated any technical examination at Näsets bathing.
– We suspect currently no crime, and therefore no such measures have been made, says Nordqvist.
