A thunderstorm drug in the southernmost Sweden in the morning. A lightning strike is believed to have caused a power outage so that no trains could cross the Oresund Bridge, but traffic was running again at 11.30.

SMHI warns of heavy rains that could cause flooding in basements, roads and stormwater systems. In some places it may be 35 millimeters of rain or even more.

Even small streams risk being flooded.
Weather affects Halland, Skåne, Blekinge, Kronoberg and Kalmar .

– Right now is a proper thunderstorm over Skåne, Blekinge and Småland, but it will move east across the sea, so it does not reach further across country. But behind the new lightning storms, says Sandra Andersson, duty meteorologist at SMHI.

In Vellinge Skåne started the fire in a building in a horse farm after a supposed lightning, reported Sydsvenskan. It is unclear if any animals or people were in the house. The storm will move north, and behind, the more lightning and rain.

– This afternoon, a scattered rains over southern and central Sweden, but during the night it becomes stronger. It will reach the Stockholm area later, and locally there will be heavy rain.

Then it can be thunder too, even in the Stockholm area, she says.

– low pressures are on the way over Sweden, they feed on. But that is just south of Sweden concerned. Over Norrland will be sunny, quiet and nice now when the wind died down.

The strong wind in the north caused lots of problems, both with stopped train and cut off roads. But the wind was never any real storm, although one was very hard, she explains.

– We had gone out with a Class 1 warning, and to raise the Class 2 wind be at least 25 meters the second in the villages. Now the wind was not so much, although it could be perceived that way. It’s early in the storm season, and the trees have leaves remaining, then it sounds more when the wind blows.

But now the wind has calmed down in the north. In southern Sweden, it will not blow as much, other than when it thunders. Someone on the heat, we can not count on. Where the rain sprinkles the temperature will be 10-15 degrees Celsius or 20 degrees where the sun shines.

But even if the storms are many now so lasts not forever.

– They move away on Tuesday, when a high pressure spine grows over southern Sweden. But then the northern parts more unstable instead.

It can therefore be finväder later this week, but if it persists until the next weekend, there is more uncertainty.

– We have several low pressure moving into over Scandinavia. It is uncertain, we’ll see if there will be high pressure or low pressure wins, says Sandra Andersson.
