K G Bergström: “Not spectacular” – Expressen

Center leader Annie Lööf sommartal Wednesday contained no startling.

We think Expressen political commentator KG Bergström who also believes that the date of the century was badly chosen.

– the Centre selects the same day as the government keeps its heavy press conference before the budget negotiations, which of course means that the Centre will receive less attention than if they had managed to find a day when there was no competition.

Center leader Annie Lööf held its annual sommartal at Carl Poured farm on Long Island in Stockholm.

A focus during her speech was the situation of women in general, but in particular immigrant women at risk of honor-oppression.

– Women’s security was the focus, which admittedly is logical given what has happened. She is the summer speaker who pressed hard on this, much more than any other. Both Jan Björklund (l) and Stefan Löfven (s) chose to make the school to the main focus. Annie Lööf elected general feminism, plus she linked it to the culture of honor and honor oppression, and the need for action against them.

KG Bergström sees the opening lead of honor culture as a way for immigrant friendly Center Party to show that despite everything there are limits to what should be accepted in Sweden.

– You can imagine that the Centre-immigration stance creates a need for her to show that you do not accept anything, he says.

Annie Lööf mentioned in her speech that she wants to put a so called honorary commission to map the honor crime for society to gain a greater understanding of the problem. Likewise, she mentioned that she wants to tighten rape laws. But this is no surprise K G Bergström.

– No, I do not think it was unexpected. For example, this is a consent clause. Even the bourgeois government appointed an inquiry about it. The only startling is well perhaps not the red-green government done something about this, he said.

KG Bergström sees a risk to appoint commissions.

– It’s amazing that it requires two commissions, both a labor commission, and now an honorary commission. It sounds like a parallel to the current government’s full weakness of delegations. It is bureaucratic, but it sounds Sinte so powerful.

Finally, think KG Bergström that the Centre Party chose a bad day for the party leader’s sommartal . But other parties have stepped wrong with the dates of their sommartal.

– It is surprising to see that the parties had so hard to avoid bumping into each other. Sunday was three sommartal, which of course goes out over the two smaller parties. And today settles the Centre on the same day that the government keeps its heavy press conference before the budget negotiations, which of course means that the Centre will receive less attention than if they had managed to find a day when there was no competition.
