L want to retrain all teachers – Swedish Dagbladet

“It is the largest further education of teachers ever,” writes the Liberals Party leader Jan Björklund to Dagens Nyheter before his sommartal later in the day.

The party’s view is that all registered teachers working in primary or secondary school at least ten years to advance their education in the subject methodology or a subject he or she teaches. Alternatively, the teacher should be able to read the permissions of another subject. The teacher may meanwhile 80 percent of regular salary, and the costs are covered by the state. The reform will be permanent and liberals sells two billion per year over the next four years, which is eight billion.

The party also proposes that the Master should be a requirement to become subject teachers and the admission requirements for teacher training increased. In addition, the party wants to subject teacher education concentrated in the six major universities and to require permissions in the current topic to get a score.
