Eight damaged after firing – Aftonbladet

Gothenburg / STOCKHOLM. Eight people have been injured after a shooting at Hisingen in Gothenburg.

The shooting occurred inside at a restaurant in a square.

– It came in two people with Kalashnikovs and started shooting, said an eyewitness who sat at a table inside the restaurant.

– It is of course very seriously this, says Ulla Brehm, spokesperson for the police Western Region.

The alarm came in at 22:23 on Wednesday night. According to emergency calls as would several people have been injured in a shooting at Vårväderstorget on Hisingen. It could later confirmed that several people had been shot injured inside a restaurant located at the square.

A witness tells Aftonbladet that two people came in with what looked like kalajsnikov rifle and started shooting.

– We sat and watched the game when the shooters came in, said the witness.

The police are on site with very many devices.

– We are at the crime scene and keeps interrogation. We have already held some hearings and started knocking on doors in the area. But it is still a very initial stage and we have yet not the whole picture, says Ulla Brehm.

According to SOS Alarm is eight people have been injured.

– We have sent ten ambulances to the scene. I do not know how seriously injured they are, says Jack Söderberg, at SOS Alarm.

No one has yet been arrested for the shooting.

– I have no information that would be so but we have reconnaissance of the area, says Ulla Brehm.

Tense in the ER

According to Aftonbladet reporter on the scene, Marcus Wulcan, it was just after 23:30 is still a very big go-around at Vårväderstorget .

– There are at least 20 police cars here. It has been cordoned off, but right calmly. Police will begin knocking on doors in the area now.

A person who is at the Sahlgrenska Hospital says that there is a tense atmosphere in the emergency room, after several of the injured have been in there. The witness describes the atmosphere as strained and that the police have a strong presence both on and off the hospital.

“Large pull”

The residents of the area who wishes to remain anonymous says:

– You become afraid. Things are happening here almost every day but this seems to be something special. There were lots of ambulances and police helicopters. They want to move from here. It’s a bitch.

According to a woman who lives right next Vårväderstorget stood several ambulances at the square as she passed.

– I just came by wagon and saw a big pull. They have cordoned off the entire square. There is a small plaza with a grocery store, a local tavern and some newsagents.

The woman says that the square is located on a quiet part of Hisingen.

– I have lived here for a year and it has been an occasional gunfire, but never anything serious. It’s the gangs that hold on, but not here without further into the Bishop’s Palace. This is actually the quiet area, she said.

Despite the shooting, she is not worried about his own safety.

– It’s all about gangs, so I’m not worried about it to happen to me. But are they as they make will of course someone innocent to be shot any day.
