Cheating with alcohol locks of Skånetrafiken – Expressen

Skånetrafiken cheat with alcohol locks on the buses, writes Aftonbladet.

According to the newspaper, it is a single person who starts the buses by blowing into the alcohol locks, which means that drivers do not need to undergo any alcohol control.

An hour before the drivers arrive at the job comes another staff member to the place where the buses are placed in Hässleholm. The person blows into the alcohol lock is on the left at the helm and then start the bus that will stand idle until the driver comes, writes Aftonbladet.

This means that the driver to drive the bus does not have to blow into the alcohol lock and escapes thereby control .

Aftonbladet has followed the procedure in place and states that no driver blows before they run away with the bus.

– There is a reason that alcohol locks in place and it is for the safety of drivers, passengers and all other road users. With this behavior is the whole aspect of the game, says a person who wishes to remain anonymous told Aftonbladet.

Nettbuss AB driving buses for Skånetrafiken in Lund and Hässleholm has an agreement with Skånetrafiken which requires that buses have alcohol interlocks. Francisco Nobre, the Municipal representatives of the traffic area in southern Sweden, told Aftonbladet that Nettbuss save a few hundred dollars a day that is not the drivers themselves warm up their buses and then even blowing in walking them.

– It takes approximately half an hour of idling in the winter and we have about 180 per hour with ob-ons, he says to Aftonbladet.
